Depending upon your level of dedication, an Psychology major can take the following time to complete:

  • Associate Degree: prepares students to work as psychiatric technicians and aides, particularly if they also pursue nursing coursework. It provides students with the first two years of a three or four-year curriculum for students who intend to earn a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
  • Bachelor Degree: offers a thorough grounding in clinical, developmental, biological, cognitive, and social and organizational psychology. Usually completed in three to four years.
  • Master Degree: equips you with the core professional skills and knowledge required to practise competently as a psychologist. You may choose to specialize in counseling psychology, health psychology or sport and exercise psychology. This requires an extra one or two years of formal study.

Psychology includes the study of conscious and unconscious phenomena, including feelings and thoughts. It is an academic discipline of immense scope, crossing the boundaries between the natural and social sciences.

A Bachelor degree is typically equivalent to 3 or 4 years full-time studies, each year comprising of 10 subjects. Final cost can be calculated by multiplying the number of years by the number of subjects per year by the cost per subject.

Example: 3 years x 10 subjects per year x $710 per subject = $21,300.
